Configure players

Prev Next

You can configure technical player settings to control things like automatic updates, logging, timeouts, or communication intervals between players and IXM One.

There are two ways to apply these settings depending on your setup:

Assign a configuration group to multiple players

To assign a configuration group to a player, perform the following steps:

  1. In IXM One, go to Channels > Location.

  2. In the Location pane, select the location where the player is located.

  3. In the Managing players pane, double-click on the player or select it and click Edit.

  4. Under Configuration, select a configuration group from the dropdown menu.

  5. Click Save to save your changes.

Create a player-specific configuration

You can create a player-specific configuration based on an existing configuration group.

Note

  • The changes apply only to the player not to the configuration group. As an admin, you can save the settings as a new configuration group.

  • A warning icon appears when the player configuration differs from the default configuration. This allows you to immediately see if a player has a custom configuration.

  • If needed, you can reset the player to the standard configuration group settings.

To create a player-specific configuration, perform the following steps:

  1. In IXM One, go to Channels > Location.

  2. In the Location pane, select the location in which the player is located.

  3. Double-click on the player or select it and click Edit.

  4. If there's no configuration group assigned to the player yet, select a configuration group from the dropdown menu Configuration and confirm this in the subsequent dialog.

  5. Next to Configuration, click Edit.

  6. In the subsequent dialog, click Continue.

  7. Edit the configuration settings as required.

  8. Click Save to save your changes.
