Website spots allow you to load and display content from external websites.
You can simply create a spot and add the URL of your website to display it.
Website spots work like any other spot in IXM One: You can create and preview them, edit their properties, and add them to playlists.
Limitations
In general, website spots can display any website. However, note the following limitations:
The target website must be accessible. If a website is not accessible when playing the playlist, the system skips the website spot.
The player that plays the website spot must have an internet connection.
Websites must be displayable in an inline frame (iframe).
Website spots can only show live content. Alternatively, you can create HTML spots with local HTML content for players.
Since players use their locally installed web browser to access web content, we recommend optimizing the websites that you want to display for the player's browser.

Grassfish is in no way liable or responsible for ensuring the availability of web content, the selection of appropriate websites, or for any damage or negative impact on the functionality of the Grassfish system due to the use of web content. Displaying web content carries the risk that malware like viruses, trojans, or worms may gain access to the player via infected websites.
Create a website spot
To create a website spot in IXM One, perform the following steps:
Go to Content > Playlist.
In the Spot groups pane, select the spot group to which you want to add the website spot.
Click on New and select New Website spot.
In the Create a new spot window, enter a Name for your spot.
Select Preloadable to load the website before displaying it. This setting helps prevent errors and ensures seamless spot transitions.
Specify all other general spot properties as required.
Click on the Website tab.
Under Website, enter the website's URL. For example:
https://grassfish.com/Click Test to test whether the website is available.
Optionally, select Preload the headers of the website. This tells the browser what assets the page needs, speeding up the process.
To add one or more alternative Allowed websites, click on +Add and enter the URL.
Click Edit in text editor to edit the URL in a text editor window.
Click Test to test whether the website is available.
If required, select an Authentication method from the dropdown menu. By default, None is selected.
Click Save to save your changes.
