A DOOH booking is an essential part of the ad selling process.
Create bookings for your clients.
In the booking, specify details like which campaign this is for or who's the responsible owner.
Add booking items that specify key factors like which the spots to display, the product you're advertising, and how much it costs.
Note
Your administrator specifies DOOH permissions and settings. You may not be able to see or edit all of the properties described here.
Step-by-step
You can create a complete DOOH booking in a few simple steps:
Add a new booking
To add a new DOOH booking, perform the following steps:
In IXM One, go to DOOH > Booking.
In the Bookings pane, click New.
In the Create new booking window, specify the following properties:
Client
Select a client from the dropdown menu.
Contact person
Select a contact person from the dropdown menu or click
Add or edit contact persons.Description
Enter a description of the booking.
By default, you can't edit the description once the booking has started. This is only possible if your administrator has enabled anytime editing.
Brand
Enter the brand that is being advertised manually or select the client as brand from the dropdown menu.
Campaign
Specify the name of the campaign.
Client reference ID
If the client has a client reference ID, it's added by default. However, you can enter a client reference ID.
The client reference ID is also added to your business proposal and order confirmation.
Agreement number
Specify the agreement number for order confirmation forms.
Select the primary sales person of the booking.
Add. sales person
Optionally, select an additional sales person and specify how much of the sales provision they should receive in percent.
By default, the owner gets 100% of the provision. The provision of the additional sales person is deducted from that.
Keep material
Select to keep information from the booking for reporting.
This option is only available for analog products.
Click Save to save your changes.

Create a booking item
Each booking can contain one or more booking items. Note that the properties differ for digital and analog products. To create a booking item, perform the following steps:
In the Create new booking dialog, click one of the following options:
New (single): create one booking item with a start and end date.
New (multi): create multiple booking items with multiple dates and times.
In the Create booking item dialog, specify the following properties:
The DOOH product that you select specifies the content distribution.
Depending on the selected content distribution and permissions, you may be able to edit the following properties:
Frequency(s): specify the frequency in seconds or select a predefined value.
Playbacks - Target playbacks: specify the number of target playbacks or select a predefined value. This defines the overall playout target for the entire campaign. For example, if you have a network of five players and you want them to show your ad 100 times daily for 30 days, you should book 15000 playbacks for your campaign.
Note that by default, every player tries to achieve the overall campaign goal on the first day, simply because the system cannot know when the desired condition applies to a location or player.Share of Voice - Target playbacks: specify the maximum number of target playbacks or select a predefined value. For example, if you book 15000 playbacks for a month on your network of five players, each player will be asked to play the target ad a maximum of 15000 times on the first day of the booking.
% of advertisement time: specify how much advertising this ad uses in percent or select a predefined value.
Spot length: specify the spot length in seconds.
This property is only visible for digital products.
Set the date in one of the following ways:
For a single booking item, select a start date and time and an end date and time.
For multiple booking items, set multiple dates, start times, and end times.
Note that the player starts the booking item in its local time.
Upload media files:
Upload spot: upload a media file like a video, picture, or HTML-container as ZIP file. IXM One stores the file as a spot in the spot group and places it in the DOOH playlist when you set the booking to ordered.
Select from spot group: select a spot. If you see multiple spot groups, select the group that contains the spot first.
Create from template: create a spot from a template. If you see multiple template groups, select the group that contains the template first.
Note that you can't edit spots created by the DOOH module in IXM One. You can only exchange the spot or edit playback parameters in the booking item. When you change the booking item, it changes the spots and playback parameters in the playlist as well.
This option is only visible for digital products.
Product information
Download attached product information if available.
Documentation image
Upload an image of the campaign for the campaign report in the format JPG, JPEG, or PNG.
If you don't upload an image, the system uses a thumbnail of the spot instead.
Set a financial budget for your booking to automatically adjust playback parameters and maximize exposure within the set budget:
Enter a value.
Click Set budget to apply the budget.
By default, the system rounds the budget value by removing the values after the decimal point.
Note that this option is only available if modifying the content distribution values is allowed for the associated DOOH product.
The system calculates the list price based on campaign duration and price strategy of the product.
If enabled, you can optionally change the price to a higher price. To do so, click on Change and specify a new price in the subsequent dialog.
Specify the discount for the client in percent. The discount can't exceed the maximum value allowed for the salesperson.
Note that changing the discount also changes the Net price and Net net price.
Net price
Specifies the price after discount.
To add up to three different handling costs, click + and specify the following properties:
Enter a short description of the handling cost. Note that the description must be unique.
Specify the cost.
This option is only available for analog products.
Specifies the agency discount if the client is an agency. You can't change the discount.
Net net price
Specifies the Net price after discount and agency discount if the client is an agency.
Note that changing the Net net price leads to an automatic recalculation of discount and Net price.
Surcharge
Select a surcharge from the dropdown.
Note that only administrators can determine the availability and amount of surcharges.
Create as many booking items as you need within your booking. Note that you can copy booking items to speed things up.

Set a booking time
To specify a time frame for your booking, perform the following steps:
In the Edit booking item for product dialog, switch to the Time tab.
Specify the following properties:
Select the days on which the booking runs.
This option is only be available for digital products.
Specify the time when the add runs:
Add a From and To time.
To add extra time ranges, click Add. You can add up to two additional ranges.
When specifying the To time, use HH:59 instead of HH:00. This ensures the system doesn't allocate the entire hour from HH:00 to HH:59.
Note that the player runs the booking in its local time, so ensure the times are correct for the intended location.

Specify ad spaces
The product defines the locations. However, you can add categories and reduce the set of locations to sub-locations. To do so, perform the following steps:
In the Edit booking item for product dialog, switch to the Ad-Spaces tab.
Specify the following properties:
Locations
Specify locations and categories in the following way:
Click
Select a sub location to select a sublocation of the selected location.Click Add category to add a category. All ad spaces under the selected location are valid for the product. With a category, you can reduce this list to a targeted list of ad spaces.
Negated locations / categories
Click Add negated location to add a location that is part of the selected location list but shouldn't be used in the booking.
Modify
Click Modify to specify in which ad spaces the ad should run. You can do the following:
Select the players that you want to use for this booking item and click Apply.
Select Import and import a CSV file that contains screen and location data.

Assign tags
You can assign tags like live tags to specify the conditions under which the ad should be played, or conflict tags to ensure that certain spots aren't played in a row. This can be useful, for example, to avoid playing spots of business competitors right after each other.
To assign tags to your booking item, perform the following steps:
In the Edit booking item for product dialog, switch to the Tags tab.
Specify the following properties:
Tags
Click Add to assign tags. In the Tags dialog, drag and drop the tags from Available to Assigned.
Conflict tags
Click Add to assign conflict tags. In the Tags dialog, drag and drop the tags from Available to Assigned.
Click Save to save your changes.
Create more booking items if needed. You can also copy an existing booking item to speed up the process.
Once you've created your booking items, click Save and Close.
