⚙️ For administrators
As an administrator, you can create, edit, and delete users in IXM One.
Create users
To create users, perform the following steps
Go to Administration > Permissions.
Select User.
In the User management pane, click New. The window Create new user opens.
In the General tab, specify the following settings for the user:
Username
Enter a username.
E-mail
Enter the e-mail address of the user.
Valid to - Restrict validity
Select to specify a date, time, and time zone during which the user is valid.
Select to keep the user data but prohibit the user from logging in.
You can see if a user is locked or no longer valid in the user management.
Password
Enter a password.
By default, the password must consist of at least five characters, a number, one lowercase character, and one uppercase character. The maximum number of password characters is 40.
Note that the password rules are specified in the system and can be adapted. If you want to specify password guidelines for your project, please contact your Grassfish partner.
If you edit an existing user, you must click Switch password to display the password fields.
Repeat password
Repeat the password.
Password must be changed when first logging in
Automatically prompt the user to change the password upon the first login.
First name
Enter the first name of the user.
Surname
Enter the last name of the user.
Comments
Enter a comment.
Select a preferred language from the dropdown menu.
This specifies IXM One language for the user. However, the user can select a different language.
Permission group
Select a permission group from the dropdown menu.
User groups
Select the user groups that you want to assign the user to.
Use the arrow icons
or drag and drop to add or remove user groups. For location users, select one of the following options to assign a player location or a player:
Location
Click on Add location and select the locations. Click on the arrow icon
or drag and drop the selected locations.
You can select an unlimited number of locations. If you assign a superordinate node, the subordinate locations are added as well.Player
Click on Add player and select one or more players from the Managing players pane. Click Select to assign them to the user.
Click Save to save your changes.
You can now see the new user in the User management list.
Check user history
For each user, you can check all successful and unsuccessful login attempts including the time and IP address of the computer.
To check the user history, perform the following steps:
Go to Administration > Permissions.
In the User management pane, select the user.
Click Edit.
In the Edit user window, select History.
Note
Users can be locked for a period of time or permanently after a specifiable number of unsuccessful login attempts. If you need this functionality, please contact your Grassfish partner.
