There are different types of playlists for different types of content in IXM One.
The types available depend on the system configuration and your user permissions.
General playlist
A general playlist has no special features or restrictions.
You can put spots on it and run it on as many displays as you want.
When you edit the playlist, all assigned players automatically apply the changes.
Screen playlist
Screen playlists allow you to display location-specific content, for example to present a special promotion in your store.
Location users who are responsible for the shop or branch work with their own screen playlists.
They can only enable specific content and any changes they make to a screen playlist only affects that version. Playlists assigned to other players remain unchanged.
Screen playlists are displayed by player. If a player has been assigned to multiple screen playlists, they are displayed below the player.
To see your screen playlists, click on the Screen playlists icon in the General playlists pane.
Audio playlist
Audio playlists are similar to general playlists, but contain only audio data, no images or videos. You can run them in parallel to other playlists.
To use audio playlists properly, note the following requirements:
Ensure that your system has appropriate audio channels and that a screen layout with audio channel has been set.
If you want the audio playlist to play in parallel to other spots, deactivate the sound output of the other spots in the spot settings.
Standard playlist
Standard playlists have no special features or playout logic.
Configure their basic settings, fill them with spots, and assign them to a program scheme.
Event playlist
Event playlists are triggered by a specific event and with a special start behavior. For example, the playlist could start on a specific holiday and play as an overlay.
You must manage event playlists separately from standard playlists in the program scheme.
Multilevel playlist
With multilevel playlists, you can create playlists per screen and inherit the content of its location.
Versioned playlist
A versioned playlist is a new version of an existing playlist.
Versioning allows you to prioritize them and create event-based playlists.
