If you create multiple versions of playlists in IXM One, you can prioritize them and create event-based playlists.
Prerequisites
Before you create a playlist with versioning, ensure that you know the following requirements:
You can only configure versioning when you create a new playlist. You can't change it in an existing playlist.
The playlist release date applies to all spots in the playlist, regardless of the spot settings.
Screen playlists intended to be edited by location users are saved without versioning.
Enable versioning
To enable versioning and enable a release process, perform the following steps:
Go to Channels > Program scheme.
In the Available playlists pane, click on New.
In the Create playlist window, select one of the following options:
Without versioning
Select to disable creating versions of this playlist.
If you drag spots into this playlist and they're assigned to an active program scheme, the content is immediately transferred and played.
With versioning
Select to enable creating new versions of this playlist.
With release
Select to enable a release process where authorized users check the playlist before releasing it.
At least one user group must have reading and writing rights for the playlist.
Click Save to save your changes.
Create a new version
To create a new version of a playlist, perform the following steps:
Go to Content > Playlist.
Select the playlist that you want to create a new version of.
Click + Creation of a new version of the playlist.
Specify a start date and time.
Select player time or a time zone. The start time must not be 24 hours before or after the start time of another playlist version if it has a different time zone.
Click Save to save your changes.
You can now see the original version of the playlist with date and time and all new versions with the date and time you just specified.
