In contrast to standard playlists, event playlists are triggered by events.
Use the event properties to specify which event starts the playout and how.
To do so, perform the following steps:
In IXM One, go to Channels > Program scheme.
In the Event playlists pane, select the event playlist that you want to edit.
Hover over the playlist and select
Edit. In the Edit playlist properties window, switch to the Event properties tab.
Once by ID
The event playlist starts when the player receives the event. It plays through in full once, after which the standard playlists continue.
Configure the following settings:
Start event: specify the name of the event that starts the playlist.
Start behavior: select Immediately to interrupt the current spot or After the current spot to start the event playlist after the current spot.
Loop through ID
The event playlist starts when the player receives the event and loops continuously until the event is sent to the player once more.
Configure the following settings:
Start/stop event: specify the name of the event that starts and stops the playlist.
Start behavior: select Immediately to interrupt the current spot or After the current spot to start the event playlist after the current spot.
Screensaver
The screensaver is active until the event playlist starts. This can be useful for interactive touch applications.
Configure the following setting:
Idle time: specify the duration of inactivity after which the screensaver starts.
Time event
The event playlist starts exactly at the specified time.
Configure the following settings:
Time: specify at which time the playlist starts. Click Add time, to create mutliple start times.
Start behavior: select Immediately to interrupt the current spot or After the current spot to start the event playlist after the current spot.
Time interval
Set an interval that starts at the daily playlist start time.
Configure the following setting
Interval: specify at which interval the playlist plays. For example, every thirty minutes.
Select a Playback position:
Interrupt playlist
The event playlist interrupts the current playlist.
Configure the Action at finish:
Play next spot
Replay last played spot
Restart playlist
Display as overlay
The event playlist functions as an overlay on top of the current playlist. For example, it allows you to play overlays during an event without interrupting it.
Configure the Overlay settings:
Action for playlist in background: select Pause, Continue, or Restart.
Applies for all playlists on the screen: select to apply the behavior to all splits in the background.
Overlay background transparency: select to set the transparency of the event playlist to 100% which makes the background invisible. This feature is only available for Linux and Windows players.
Mute other playlists: select to mute other playlists during the event playlist overlay.
Configure the Overlay positioning:
X / Y: specify the offset to the screen edge in pixels.
Width / Height: specify the size of the overlay.
Select Resize background to reduce the size of the background as desired:
X / Y: specify the offset to the screen edge in pixels.
Width: specify the width of the background playlist. The height is automatically set based on the width.
Display duration: specify how long the background playlist stays resized.
Show as underlay: select to display the background playlist in front of the event playlist. This feature is only available for Linux and Windows Players.
Click Save to save your changes.
