Create a broadcast

Prev Next

Before you create your first broadcast, it’s important to know that it won’t transmit any content to the screens until you set it to play mode. This allows you to schedule your content at your own pace.

To create a new broadcast, perform the following steps:

  1. In the sidebar, click Broadcast.

  2. Click New Broadcast in the header.

  3. Select one of the following options:

  4. Name your broadcast. For example, use the campaign name and time frame.

  5. Answer the following questions to set up your broadcast:

When?

Specify when the content in your broadcast plays:

  1. Select a start and end date.

  2. Select the frequency.

  3. Select a start and end time.

  4. Optionally, click + to schedule multiple time periods. To delete time periods, click -.

  5. Optionally, set Takeover and Triggers.

Takeover

Select this option to let the broadcast take over the screen according to your schedule. This means the current playlist on the screens will be overwritten. For example, you can use this to draw attention to a message on one or more screens.

Triggers

If you’ve already created triggers, you can add them to set scheduling rules for your broadcast. To do so, perform the following steps:

  1. Click Select triggers.

  2. Select the trigger(s) you want to add.

  3. Click Save.

Where?

Specify which of your screens the broadcast will reach:

  • If you have a Share of Voice broadcast, select the Content Type and Spot length. Learn more …

  • Use the filters under Filter by to select the screen(s) you want to reach.

  • Optionally, select Only broadcast to layers to target a specific layer on a screen with your broadcast. Select the layer(s) from the dropdown that appears. Learn more …

Groups

You can include multiple groups in a single broadcast. This is useful if, for example, if you have both portrait and landscape screens that need to receive content during the same time period. Create one group and playlist for each orientation to share the same schedule.

  • Click Add group in the top right of the module to add a group.

  • The new group will appear in the tab navigation, allowing you to switch between groups. The same group will also be added to the What module in the next step.

What?

Select the content of your broadcast:

  • Drag and drop one or multiple media files from your desktop or the media library drawer.

  • Mix images, videos, and signs if needed.

Media options

Click the three-dot menu next to a media item to adjust individual media settings within the playlist, such as:

  • Pausing media.

  • Applying individual scheduling.

  • Adding triggers

  • Removing media from the broadcast playlist.

  • Adjusting the duration of images (default: 10 seconds)

Note

If you've duplicated a broadcast, the content is duplicated as well. Use the options to remove or delete any unwanted media.
