Layers divide a screen into multiple areas, each with its own playlists. The screen type defines if a screen has more than one layer.
Access layers
If your screen has more than one layer, you can select the layers in the tab bar. There's one tab for each layer and each tab has its own screen playlist with unique content.
To check your layers, perform the following steps:
In the sidebar, click Screens.
Click the name of the screen whose layers you want to access.
Switch between the tabs in the table header to access the different layers.
Check layer details
You can get the following information in the layer’s tab:
Screen type: The type of screen you selected for the screen.
Resolution: Indicates the resolution of the layer.
Position: Displays the coordinates where the layer is positioned on the screen.
Order: Indicates the layer hierarchy. Number 1 is the bottom layer.
Aspect ratio: Shows the aspect ratio for the layer.
Thumbnail: The broadcast icon indicates that the content is scheduled in a broadcast playlist. Otherwise, the content has been added directly to the specific screen playlist.
Play broadcast on screen: If selected, the broadcast is playing on the indicated screen. Deselect this option to pause the broadcast on this screen.
Edit media in the layer
When working with layers in a screen playlist, you have different options for managing your media depending on the media type.
Click Options next to the media item and select one of the following options:
Edit sign: Edit the sign.
Play: Play the media.
Pause: Pause the media.
Schedule: Schedule the media.
Duration: Adjust the duration of images or signs. The default duration is 10 seconds.
Remove: Remove the media from the screen playlist.
