By default, version management is not enabled. If you want to use it, contact your Grassfish partner.
Version management allows you to create draft versions of spots.
Prerequisites
Before you work with different spot versions, read the following important information:
You need writing permission for the spot group to see, create, and edit draft versions of spots.
You can only edit a spot if it's checked out in editing mode.
Releasing a draft can't be undone. If in doubt, create an unversioned copy or a local copy by uploading a spot.
You can't use spots with active version management task lists.
Enable version management
To enable version management for a spot, perform the following steps:
In IXM One, go to Content > Playlist.
In the Selectable spots pane, select one or more spots.
Click
Edit properties. Select Activate version management.
Create a spot version
To create a spot version, perform the following steps:
Go to Content > Playlist.
In the Selectable spots pane, select one or more spots.
Click Create > Create new version.
In the New spot version window, click Yes.
Edit the newly created draft version of the spot using the following options:
Preview
To watch a preview, click
Preview and select whether you want to preview the recently released version or the current draft.Replace spot
To replace the spot, click Tools > Replace spot.
Edit content
To edit an HTML Composer spot in the Composer, click Edit content.
Your changes are invisible to users without writing permission until the draft is released.
Release version
To release a draft, click Create > Release version.
You can release multiple spots in one workflow.
Reset version
To reset the spot to the latest released version, click Edit > Reset version.
