Update Philips CRD50

A firmware update for your Philips CRD50 device may resolve known firmware issues.

To update your device to the latest tested firmware version, perform the following steps:

1. Download the firmware FB04.04T in one of the following ways:

   • Download directly from Philips

   • Access the Grassfish release folder and open Android Player Firmware\Philips\CRD50

2. Copy the update.zip file to a USB stick in File Allocation Table 32 (FAT32) format.

3. Insert the USB stick into the player's USB 2.0 port.
   

4. Open the device’s Settings.
   

5. In the settings, select Signage Display.
   

6. Select System updates.
   

7. Select Local update.

8. In the Select storage dialog, click OK.
   

9. Wait until the device has restarted and the new firmware is installed. Do not interrupt the process or turn off the device.

After the upgrade is complete, the device restarts and works again. A factory reset or reinstallation is not necessary.
