This feature is not enabled by default. If you want to work with order lists, contact your Grassfish partner.

When multiple teams work on the same content, order lists can provide a structured workflow for creating and editing spots.

Users can create tasks, view current tasks, and receive a notification when a task has been assigned to a user group.

Prerequisites

Before you work with order lists, note the following requirements:

  • Every user group in this process must have a role: contractor, release agent, administrator, or customer.

  • User groups without roles only see the most recently released version of a spot.

  • Users must have permission to access the spots.

How to order spots

The order workflow consists of the following steps:

  1. Administrators create order lists and assign roles.

  2. A customer creates a new order in the order list to have a spot created or edited.

  3. A contractor creates or edits a spot based on the specifications in the order and submits it for release.

  4. A release agent reviews the spot and either sends it back for revision or releases it.

  5. The released version can be used in playlists.

How to use order lists

You can find all order lists under Content > Playlist > Orders.

  • The numbers on the right side indicate how many orders on the list are still open.

  • The icons on the left side indicate the status of the list based on user roles:

Contractor

Receives the task and edits the spot.

Release agent

Checks the edited spot and releases it.

Admin / Customer

Creates orders, sees current requests and tasks, and may withdraw them.

Note

User groups can have multiple roles in an order list.
