Play DOOH content

Note

Before you start, ensure that you know how to manage program schemes, playlists, and spots in IXM One.

Step-by-step

Perform the following steps to play DOOH content:

• Create a program scheme

• Create a DOOH playlist

• Create a standard filler playlist

• Assign the playlists to a program scheme

• Configure the filler playlist

• Assign spots to the filler playlist

• Create DOOH clients and bookings

Create a program scheme

To create a program scheme in IXM One, perform the following steps:

1. Go to Channels > Program scheme.

2. In the Program scheme pane, click +.

3. In the Create program scheme window, enter a name for the program scheme.

4. Select Event playlists.

5. Specify all other program scheme settings as required.

6. Click Save to save your changes.

You can now see the new program scheme in the Program scheme pane. Note that you must assign this program scheme to the screen layout of your player.

Create a DOOH playlist

You must create one playlist for your DOOH spots. You don't have to fill this playlist, the system automatically assigns spots that you use in bookings to it.

Note that you can only have one DOOH playlist per network

Perform the following steps:

1. Go to Channels > Programm scheme.

2. In the Available playlists pane, click New.

3. In the Create playlist window, enter a name for your playlist.

4. As Playlist logic, select DOOH.

5. Specify all other playlist settings as required.

6. Click Save to save your changes.

You can now see the new DOOH playlist in the Available playlists pane.

Create a standard filler playlist

Usually, the DOOH playlist will not take up the entire playlist playback time, so the system plays standard spots in-between as fillers. To create a standard playlist with filler spots, perform the following steps:

1. Go to Channels > Program scheme.

2. In the Available playlists pane, click New.

3. In the Create playlist window, enter a name for your playlist.

4. As Playlist logic, select Default.

5. Specify all other playlist settings as required.

6. Click Save to save your changes.

You can now see the new filler playlist in the Available playlists pane.

Assign the playlists to a program scheme

You must assign the DOOH and the standard filler playlist to your program scheme. Perform the following steps:

1. Go to Channels > Program scheme.

2. Select your DOOH program scheme.

3. Drag and drop your DOOH playlist from the Available playlists pane to the Event playlists pane.

4. Drag and drop your filler playlist from the Available playlists pane to the Standard playlists pane.

Configure the filler playlist

You must configure the filler playlist to ensure that DOOH spots have higher priority than standard spots. Perform the following steps:

1. In the Standard playlists pane, double-click the filler playlist.

2. In the Edit playlist properties window, select Extras.

3. Select Prioritize programmatic advertisements.

4. Configure all other playlist properties as required.

5. Click Save to save your changes.

Assign spots to the standard filler playlist

Your DOOH playlist is automatically filled with spots that you add to booking items. You must, however, fill your filler playlist with standard content.

To do so, perform the following steps:

1. Go to Content > Playlist.

2. In the General playlists pane, select your filler playlist.

3. Drag and drop your filler spots from the Selectable spots pane to the Content of playlist pane.

The system can now fill gaps between DOOH spots with filler content.
