As an admin, you can manage display configurations, set default displays for new players, and control connected displays via codes.

Note
You can only configure displays that are controlled via an RS-232 interface. Displays with an HDMI interface don't require any further configuration.
For information about display specifications such as baud rate or parity, consult your device manufacturer's manual.
Create display configurations
To create a new display configuration, perform the following steps:
In IXM One, go to Administration > Player > Display management.
Click on New in the bottom right corner.
Configure the following settings:
Type
By default, the type is RS-232.
You can only configure displays that are controlled via an RS-232 interface. HDMI doesn't require configuration.
Name
Specify the name of the display.
Control screen via plugin
Select to turn the screen on and off and request the screen status via an add-on.
This feature is only available for the Windows and Linux Player. For more information on the add-on, please contact Grassfish.
Baud rate
Specify the transmission speed or transfer rate in bits per second (bps).
Byte size
Specify the data length in bits.
Stop bits
Specify the number of bits that indicates the end of a byte.
Parity
Select one of the following parities for error detection:
None
Even
Odd
Mark
Space
Read timeout (ms)
Specify the number of milliseconds (ms) before a timeout occurs if a read operation doesn't complete.
Read bytes
Specify the number of bytes to read.
Power state
Specify values the following settings:
Code: specify the code for requesting the status of the display (on/off).
Answer ON: specify the code that the display sends when it's on.
Answer OFF: specify the code that the display sends when it's off.
Mask: specify the mask for filtering information about the power state from the answer code of the display.
Note that you must enter code in HEX format. For example: AA 11 FE 01 01 11
Power ON
Specify values for the following settings:
Code: specify the code that turns on the display.
Answer: specify the code that the display sends when it's turned on.
Mask: specify the mask for filtering the power-on code from the answer code of the display.

Power OFF
Specify values for the following settings:
Code: specify the code that turns off the display.
Answer: specify the code that the display sends when it's turned off.
Mask: specify the mask for filtering the power-off code from the answer code of the display.

Optional code
Specify additional code that can be sent to the display.
Timing: select when the code is sent to the display:
Before power on
After power on
Before power off
After power off
Code: specify the optional code that is sent to the display in HEX format. For example: AA 11 FE 01 01 11
Description: enter a description of the optional code.
Add optional code
Select to add more optional code.
Click Save to save your changes.

Set default displays
You can select display configurations from the display management as default for new players. You can assign up to two displays to a player, so you can set two default display configurations.
To set a default display configuration, perform the following steps:
Select a display configuration in the Display management pane.
Click on one of the following buttons:
Set as default display 1: selects the display configuration as default display 1 for new players.
Set as default display 2: selects the display configuration as default display 2 for new players.
Edit display configuration
You can edit existing display configurations anytime. Note that your changes are applied to all players that have the display configuration assigned as default.
To edit an existing display configuration, double-click on it in the Display management pane or select it and click on Edit.
Copy display configuration
You can duplicate an existing display configuration, edit the copied properties, and save it. By default, the suffix "copy" is added to the name.
To copy a display configuration, select it in the Display management pane and click on Copy.
Delete display configuration
To delete a display configuration, select it in the Display management pane and click on Delete.
Note
Ensure that the display configuration is not set as default display 1 or 2 for any players before you delete it.
