Spot templates set the content of a spot.
Depending on the template settings and the spot editing level of your user groups, you can edit them fully or partially.
You can use:
HTML Composer templates
HTML Wizard templates
Note
Location users can’t access spot templates by default. Admins can enable access to spot templates for location users in the IXM One configuration.
Create a new spot from a template
To create a spot from a template, perform the following steps:
Go to Content > Playlist.
In the Spot groups pane, select the spot group to which you want to add the new spot. If you select [All spots] or [Not assigned] you must select a spot group later.
In the Selectable spots pane, click New. If you haven't selected a spot group, you must do so now.
Select New spot from template. The window Select template for new spot opens.
5. In the Template groups pane, select the template group.
In the Selectable spots pane, select a spot.
Click Select. The window Create a new spot opens.
Specify your general spot settings.
Click Save. The HTML Composer opens in a new window.
Specify the content of your spot and add animations and/or effects.
Click Save to save your changes.
Create a template from a spot
You can convert any HTML Composer or HTML Wizard spot into a template. To do so, perform the following steps:
Go to the Selectable spots pane and select your spot.
Switch to the General tab.
Select Template.
Optionally, create template groups for a better overview.
Click Save to save your changes.
Set template permissions
While not all users can create and manage templates, some users must use templates to create new spots. This depends on the user type:
Administrator: Can save Composer spots as templates and create template groups.
Standard user: Can't create and manage templates or template groups by default. However, this system-specific configuration can be changed.
Location user: Can't create templates or template groups. However, location users can use templates provided by authorized users.
