Quick guide: Create your first broadcast

Broadcasts allow you to easily schedule and broadcast content to the screens in your account. You can set up and play your first broadcast in 10 simple steps.

Prerequisites

To create your first standard broadcast, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You have an IXM Aqua account.

  • You've added one or more screens to your account in which your broadcast can be played.

  • You've added media to your account that you can use in your broadcast, such as an image or video.

Create your broadcast

To create and play your first broadcast, perform the following steps:

  1. Click New Broadcast in the header.

  2. Select Standard.

  3. Name your broadcast.

  4. When

    Specify when the content of your broadcast plays:

    • Select the start and end date and time.

    • Select on which days the content plays.

    • Specify from when to when the content plays.

    • Optionally, click + to schedule multiple time periods. To delete time periods, click -.

  5. Where

    Select where the content plays:

    • Use the filters under Filter by to select the screen(s) you want to use.

    • Optionally, select Only broadcast to layers to target a specific layer on a specified screen. Learn more …

  6. What

    Select what content your broadcast contains:

    • Drag and drop content from your desktop or the Media Library drawer into the broadcast playlist.

  7. Review your broadcast settings.

  8. If everything is correct, click Save.

  9. Click Broadcast in the breadcrumb navigation at the top of the window to return to the overview.

  10. Find your broadcast in the table and click Options > Play to start it.

Congratulations! You've created your first broadcast.

It may take up to 10 minutes for the playlists to update on the screen.
