Assign sync tags

Sync tags must be activated in your system. For more information, contact your Grassfish account manager.

Use sync tags to synchronize spot playback across your players. This means that the spots start at the same time.

Prerequisites

Note the following information before you assign sync tags:

• Sync tags that you assign in the spot properties apply to all playlist instances of this spot.

• Sync tags that you assign in the display properties of a spot instance work independently from the original spot and other spot instances.

Assign sync tags in spot properties

To assign sync tags to a spot and all its instances, perform the following steps:

1. Go to Content > Playlist.

2. In the Selectable spots pane, select the spot that you want to assign tags to.

3. Hover your mouse over the spot and click   Edit properties. Alternatively, click Edit > Edit properties.

4. In the Edit spot properties window, switch to the Tags tab.

5. Drag and drop sync tags you want to assign from Available to Assigned. Alternatively, use the arrows   to assign and remove tags.

6. Click Save to save your changes.

Assign sync tags in display properties

To assign sync tags only to a specific spot instance, perform the following steps:

1. Go to Content > Playlist.

2. In the Content of playlist pane, select the spot that you want to assign tags to.

3. Hover your mouse over the spot and click   Edit properties. Alternatively, double-click on the spot.

4. In the Edit display properties window, switch to the Extras tab.

5. As Sync tag, select a sync tag from the dropdown.

6. Optionally, specify a Display duration.

7. Click Save to save your changes.
