Install Android Player on Sharp NEC ME2

This article explains how to install the Grassfish Android Player on Sharp NEC ME2 devices.
System requirements
Before you begin the installation, ensure that you meet the following system requirements:

Set up Sharp NEC device
To prepare the Sharp NEC ME2 device, perform the following steps:
On the welcome screen, click the button to open language selection.
Select your language. We recommend English.
Click Next.
On the Screen Rotation screen, ensure that Landscape is selected. Do not select any other rotation.
Click Next.
On the Network settings screen, ensure that Ethernet is enabled. If you have a device with a wireless card, refer to the device's manual to learn how to set it up.
Click Next.
On the Date & Time Settings screen, ensure that Automatic Date & Time is enabled.
Click Set time zone and select your time zone.
Click Next.
On the EULA screen, read the terms and conditions and select I have read and understood the relevant agreements and terms.
Click Next.
On the final setup screen, click Finish to finish the setup and proceed to settings.
If the settings didn’t open automatically, select Settings on the Home screen.
To enable developer options and ADB, click About in the settings.
In the About window, click Android Version around three times and then Build Number multiple times until the development options open.
In the Developer options, scroll down to Debugging and switch USB debugging off and on again.
In the subsequent Allow USB debugging dialog, click OK.
Install Grassfish software and tools
To install the Grassfish software and tools on the device, perform the following steps:
To connect the PC to the device via ADB, click Settings > Network and note the device’s IP address.
On your Windows PC open a terminal session and change the directory to the unzipped installation package.
Type the command adb connect and your device’s IP address.
If the Allow USB debugging dialog appears, select Always allow from this computer and click OK.
If the terminal responds that authentication failed, confirm and re-enter adb connect and the IP address of your device. The response should now say that the device is connected to the IP address.
Open your unzipped installation package in Windows Explorer.
To install the software, double-click on the following file: Install_gf_Tools_NEC-Sharp-ME2.bat
Ensure that all installation commands are executed without errors. This completes the installation.
Configure device settings
To configure the required settings on your Sharp NEC ME2 device, perform the following steps:
On the device’s Home screen, click All Apps.
Open the app GF Device Owner.
In the All files access window, click GF Player and allow access to manage all files.
Right-click to go back.
If you use TeamViewer, click Host and allow access to manage all files.
Right-click to go back.
Click GF Device Owner and allow access to manage all files.
Right-click to go back. Once the device owner is set, the app opens and the device reboots. Next you can set player permissions.
Configure player permissions
To configure the required player permissions, perform the following steps:
In the Grant permissions window, select Open next to Grant local permissions.
In the Take pictures and record video dialog, select While using the app.
In the Allow GF Player access to this device’s location dialog, select While using the app.
In the Allow GF Player to record audio dialog, select While using the app.
In the Allow GF Player to make and manage phone calls dialog, select Allow.
Click Open next to Grant do not disturb access.
In the Do Not Disturb access window, scroll down and select GF Player.
Enable Allow Do Not Disturb an click Allow in the subsequent dialog.
Click Open next to Grant system settings write access.
Enable Allow modifying system settings.
The installation and settings are now complete. The player starts with the Initbox.
