If there is still airtime available on a player and no further DOOH spot needs to be played, you can set the player to randomly select a DOOH spot.

You can use all DOOH spots as fill-up spots, except spots with live tags

How filling up with ads it works

The playback frequency of DOOH spots determines which spot is selected as a fill-up spot under the following conditions:

• Running spot: A currently running spot cannot be used as a fill-up spot. The same spot, including fill-up spots, should not be played twice in a row.

• No repetition: If a DOOH spot is scheduled to play next but was previously used as a fill-up spot, it will not play again immediately. Instead, it will play in the next cycle, if applicable.

• Random SSP: If there's unused DOOH airtime, the player can also randomly play SSP spots to fill the time.

Fill up with DOOH spots

To set the DOOH fill-up, perform the following steps:

1. In IXM One, go to the player configuration or the configuration group:

   • For an individual player, go to Channels > Location. Double-click on your player and select Edit next to Configuration in the Edit player dialog.

   • For a configuration group, go to Administration > Player > Configuration groups and double-click on the configuration group.

2. In the Edit configuration group window, select Display extended modules.

3. Under Modules, select DOOH.

4. Select Fill up with advertisements.

5. Click Save to save your changes.

6. Restart the player service or reboot the player for your changes to take effect.
