Assign actions

You can assign actions to pages to create an interactive experience, such as a slideshow where you can click to switch pages.

To configure actions, perform the following steps:

  1. On the HTML Composer canvas, select the element that you want to add an effect to.

  2. In the Elements pane, click on Actions.

  3. Select one of the following tabs to specify when an action takes place:  

    • On click: Performs the action when an element is clicked.

    • On start: Performs the action when the display of a page starts.

    • On finish: Performs the action after the display of a page has ended.

  4. Select an actions and specify its settings:

    Switch multipage

    Select an element and page to switch to.

    Go to spot

    Call up a spot on a player by entering the name of the spot.

    Jump to spot and back

    Jump to another spot on the player by entering the name of the spot.

    Once this spot has been played, the player jumps back to the previous spot.

    Close spot

    Close a spot.

    Write statistic

    Create player statistics by specifying a value to write into the statistics when the action is triggered.

    Trigger event

    Start an event by specifying an event name and type.

  5. Optionally, create more actions in the following ways:

    • Click Add to add the same action once more with a different element and/or page.

    • Select a different action from the dropdown menu and click Add.

  6. Optionally, drag and drop multiple actions in the same tab to change their sequence.

  7. Optionally, select another tab to configure more actions.

  8. Click Save the save your changes.
