# Select UI appearance

You can change the appearance of the IXM Aqua user interface (UI) by choosing between light and dark mode.

To do so, perform the following steps:

1. At the bottom of the sidebar, click on your user name.
2. Click **User settings**.
3. Under **Appearance**, click on your preferred mode to activate it.
4. Click **Save** to save your changes.
