# Delete a tag

To delete a tag, perform the following steps:

1. In the sidebar, click **Tags**.
2. Click **Options** next to the tag you want to delete.
3. Select **Delete**.
4. In the subsequent dialog, click **Delete** to confirm the deletion.

> Note
> 
> You can only delete a tag if it's not currently in use. Remove tags from screens and media before trying to delete them.
