# Broadcast

Broadcasts allow you to easily schedule and broadcast content to the screens in your account.

### What is a broadcast?

A broadcast in IXM Aqua can contain anything from a single media file to an entire playlist with images, videos, and [signs](https://docs.grassfish.com/ixm-aqua/docs/signs). You can also use a broadcast to create and organize playlists that target specific screens or groups of screens.
