# Apply a role

Once you've configured roles with detailed permissions, you can assign them to user accounts. To do so, perform the following steps:

1. In the sidebar, click **Users & Roles**.
2. Click **Options** next to the user you want to assign a role to.
3. Click **Edit**.
4. Select a role from the **Role** dropdown menu.
5. Click **Save** to save your changes.
