# Manage uploads

With the upload manager you can easily upload files to IXM One.

- Control and track the upload process and manage your uploaded files.
- Assign [tags](/grassfish/docs/assign-media-tags) to your uploaded files from here.

To upload and manage files, perform the following steps:

1. Open the upload manager.
2. In the **Upload manager**, use the following options as required:

| **Add data** | Click to add all files that you want to upload. Alternatively, simply drag and drop your files into the **Upload manager** window. |
| --- | --- |
| **Start** | Click to start the upload of all selected files. |
| **Pause** | Click to pause the current upload. |
| **Remove** | Click to remove selected files from the upload manager. Note that this cancels uploads that are in progress. |
| **Remove finished** | Remove all selected files with the status **Finished**. |
| **Assign tags** | Click to assign tags to selected files after the upload. Click **Apply** to apply the tags. |
| **Close** | Click to close the upload manager. When an upload is in progress, the window is minimized and the upload continues. |
