You’ve connected the player to IXM One. ### Step-by-step Perform the following steps to get started with DOOH and your first booking: - [Create a program scheme](/grassfish/docs/quick-guide-create-a-booking#create-a-program-scheme) - [Create a DOOH playlist](/grassfish/docs/quick-guide-create-a-booking#create-a-dooh-playlist) - [Create a filler playlist](/grassfish/docs/quick-guide-create-a-booking#create-a-filler-playlist) - [Assign playlists to the program scheme](/grassfish/docs/quick-guide-create-a-booking#assign-playlists-to-the-program-scheme) - [Configure the standard filler playlist](/grassfish/docs/quick-guide-create-a-booking#create-a-dooh-product) - [Assign spots to your standard filler playlist](/docs/quick-guide-create-a-booking#Quick_Guide_Werbezeiten___DOOH_2DDED9D8F) - [Create a DOOH product](/docs/quick-guide-create-a-booking#Quick_Guide_Werbezeiten___DOOH_2E7D09D4D) - [Create a DOOH client](/grassfish/docs/quick-guide-create-a-booking#create-a-dooh-client) - [Create a DOOH booking](/grassfish/docs/quick-guide-create-a-booking#create-a-dooh-booking) --- ## Create a program scheme To play DOOH spots, you must first create a program scheme in IXM One: 1. Go to **Channels > Program scheme**. 2. In the **Program scheme** pane, click **+** to create a program scheme. 3. In the **Create program scheme** window, enter a name for the program scheme. 4. Select **Event playlists**. 5. Specify all other settings as needed. 6. Click **Save** to save your changes. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e2b87f73-d9f5-43cb-8182-2641762664fd/Images/Documentation/quick-guide-create-a-booking-image-hvsypocg.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T20%3A13%3A12Z&se=2026-11-06T21%3A13%3A12Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=sZN8ZvCR00b6xXYZPfJR7sr00xxTVEC5vdkPy7g0hJw%3D) --- ## Create a DOOH playlist Next, create the playlist for your DOOH spots. Note that you can only have one DOOH playlist. Perform the following steps: 1. Go to **Channels > Programm scheme**. 2. In the **Available playlists** pane, click **New**. 3. In the **Create playlist** window, enter a name for your playlist. 4. As **Playlist logic**, select **DOOH**. 5. Specify all other settings as needed. 6. Click **Save** to save your changes. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e2b87f73-d9f5-43cb-8182-2641762664fd/Images/Documentation/quick-guide-create-a-booking-image-t8qooqxj.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T20%3A13%3A12Z&se=2026-11-06T21%3A13%3A12Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=sZN8ZvCR00b6xXYZPfJR7sr00xxTVEC5vdkPy7g0hJw%3D) --- ## Create a filler playlist Usually, the DOOH playlist will not take up the entire playlist playback time, so you need a [standard playlist](/grassfish/docs/use-different-playlist-types) that plays standard spots in-between as fillers: 1. Go to **Channels > Program scheme**. 2. In the **Available playlists** pane, click **New**. 3. In the **Create playlist** window, enter a name for your filler playlist. 4. As **Playlist logic**, select **Default**. 5. Specify all other settings as needed. 6. Click **Save** to save your changes. --- ## Assign playlists to the program scheme You must assign the DOOH and the standard filler playlist to your program scheme: 1. Go to **Channels > Program scheme**. 2. Select your DOOH program scheme. 3. Drag and drop your DOOH playlist from the **Available playlists** pane to the **Event playlists** pane. 4. Drag and drop your standard filler playlist from the **Available playlists** pane to the **Standard playlists** pane. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e2b87f73-d9f5-43cb-8182-2641762664fd/Images/Documentation/quick-guide-create-a-booking-image-ugr88tlm.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T20%3A13%3A12Z&se=2026-11-06T21%3A13%3A12Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=sZN8ZvCR00b6xXYZPfJR7sr00xxTVEC5vdkPy7g0hJw%3D) --- ## Configure the standard filler playlist You must configure the standard filler playlist to ensure that DOOH spots have higher priority than standard spots: 1. In the **Standard playlists** pane, double-click the filler playlist. 2. In the **Edit playlist properties** window, switch to **Extras**. 3. Select **Prioritize programmatic advertisements**. 4. Click **Save** to save your changes. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e2b87f73-d9f5-43cb-8182-2641762664fd/Images/Documentation/quick-guide-create-a-booking-image-jcwr3glr.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T20%3A13%3A12Z&se=2026-11-06T21%3A13%3A12Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=sZN8ZvCR00b6xXYZPfJR7sr00xxTVEC5vdkPy7g0hJw%3D) --- ## Assign spots to your standard filler playlist You don't have to add spots to the DOOH playlist. This happens automatically, when you add spots to booking items. However, you must fill your filler playlist with standard content. Perform the following steps: 1. Go to **Content > Playlist**. 2. In the **General playlists** pane, select your filler playlist. 3. Drag and drop your filler spots from the **Selectable spots** pane to the **Content of playlist** pane. --- ## Create a DOOH product In this tutorial, you'll create a digital DOOH product. [Creating an analog product](/grassfish/docs/create-an-analog-product) is slightly different. 1. Go to **Administration > DOOH > DOOH products**. 2. To create a new product, click **New**. 3. In the **Create new product** window, specify the following properties and save your changes: ****General**** | **Short name** | Specify an abbreviated name for the product. Click **Add** to add up to two more time ranges. This can be useful, for example, for higher priced products that you want to show during peak hours. --- - Note that you should use HH:59 for the **To** time instead of HH:00. Otherwise, the system allocates the whole hour from HH:00 to HH:59. - The default time is from 00:00 to 23:59. - This option is only available for digital ads. | | **Time can be modified in the bookin**g | Select to allow users to modify the time range in the booking. | ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e2b87f73-d9f5-43cb-8182-2641762664fd/Images/Documentation/create-a-digital-product-image-1khyv27u.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T20%3A13%3A12Z&se=2026-11-06T21%3A13%3A12Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=sZN8ZvCR00b6xXYZPfJR7sr00xxTVEC5vdkPy7g0hJw%3D) ****Content distribution**** | **Content distribution** | Select one of the following content distribution methods: - **Frequency**: specify the repetition rate of an ad, for example every 120 seconds. This means that the ad will be shown every two minutes on the selected screens during the specified time. - **Playbacks**: specify the number of target playbacks. The system automatically calculates the repetition rate for each screen. For example, if you have a network of five players and you want them to show your ad 100 times a day for 30 days, you should book 15000 playbacks. - **Live tags**: tell the player when to display content based on current data (like weather data) and specify a maximum number of target playbacks. For example, if you book 15000 playbacks for a month on your network of five players, each player will be asked to play the target ad a maximum of 15000 times on the first day of the booking. - **Share of Voice**: specify how many percent of the advertisement time the ad receives. This is the simplest strategy regarding price calculation. For example, ten percent means that the ad is displayed ten percent of the time [reserved for ads](/grassfish/docs/set-dooh-system-parameters) on specific screens. | | --- | --- | | **Values can be modified in the booking** | Select to allow users to edit content distribution settings in the booking. - Click **Possible values** to predefine a set of values that users can select from when they change the settings in the booking. - This option must be turned on to [set a budget](/grassfish/docs/create-bookings). | | **Priority** | Select a priority: - **Low**: use for ads that only run if ad slots are available, like budget ads that are sold at a lower price. - **Medium**: use for standard ads. - **High**: use for ads that run with a guaranteed frequency. | ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e2b87f73-d9f5-43cb-8182-2641762664fd/Images/Documentation/create-a-digital-product-image-17ylchvf.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T20%3A13%3A12Z&se=2026-11-06T21%3A13%3A12Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=sZN8ZvCR00b6xXYZPfJR7sr00xxTVEC5vdkPy7g0hJw%3D) ****Price**** Which of the following fields you see depends on the content distribution method. | **Price** | Specify the price in the [predefined currency](/grassfish/docs/set-dooh-system-parameters). | | --- | --- | | **Price unit** | Select one of the following options: - **screen**: price per single screen of the selected location. - **flat**: price for all screens of the selected location. | | **Price per** | Select one of the following options: - **day**: price per single screen per day, or flat for all screens per day. - **started week**: price per single screen per started week, or flat for all screens per started week. - **started month**: price per single screen per started month, or flat for all screens per started month. - **year**: price per screen per year, or flat for all screens per year. | | **Price for spot length** | Specify the spot length in seconds. | | **Minimum booking days** | Specify the minimum duration for a booking of this product in days. | | **Minimum booking duration** | Select to allow a shorter booking period than the minimum booking days which creates an extra surcharge for undercutting. | | **Surcharge for undercutting in %** | Specify the extra surcharge in percent in case undercutting is allowed. | ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e2b87f73-d9f5-43cb-8182-2641762664fd/Images/Documentation/create-a-digital-product-image-g1qdyliq.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T20%3A13%3A12Z&se=2026-11-06T21%3A13%3A12Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=sZN8ZvCR00b6xXYZPfJR7sr00xxTVEC5vdkPy7g0hJw%3D) --- ## Create a DOOH client To sell ad spaces to your customers, you must create DOOH clients.
