# Preview playlists

You can preview complete playlists to check how they will look after publishing. In addition, the preview provides information on the playlist content.

### Prerequisites

Consider the following prerequisites before you start a preview:

- The preview is only available, if a screen layout, program scheme, and content are assigned to a player.
- The preview opens in a new browser window.
- Loading large playlists, may take more time. Just leave the preview window open until all content has been loaded.
- Settings like time control, holiday lists, or categories are considered in the preview.
- Content quality may vary in preview to reduce response time. Players display content in its original format and native quality.
- The preview for website spots is only available if the website can be displayed in an iframe.

## Preview a playlist

To preview a playlist, perform the following steps:

1. Go to **Content > Playlist**.
2. In the **Playlist** pane, select the playlist that you want to preview.
3. In the **Content of playlist** pane, click **Preview**.
4. Use the following options in the preview window as required:

| **Player** | Click **Select** to select a player for the preview. |
