# Manage player-specific spots

Player-specific spots are assigned to players and used in screen playlists.

### Limitations

Note the following limitations when using player-specific spots:

- You can only use these spots in [screen playlists](/grassfish/docs/use-different-playlist-types), that means in playlists with player-specific content.
- You only see these spots in screen playlists not in general playlists.

## Assign spots to a player

Depending on the spot, there are different options for assigning a spot to a player:

- As an administrator, you can [add a spot to the screen playlist](/grassfish/docs/manage-playlist-content) of a player.
- As a standard or location users, you can [upload a spot](/grassfish/docs/create-spots) and it's automatically assigned to players that play the selected screen playlist.
- When you create an [HTML Composer](/grassfish/docs/html-composer) spot, you can assign it to a player in the [HTML Wizard](/grassfish/docs/html-wizard).
