# Manage player data sources

You can add data sources to your player, for example, to provide it with news or weather data. To do so, perform the following steps:

1. Go to **Channels > Location**.
2. Select the [location](/docs/manage-data-sources#LocationandCategories) of the player that you want to edit.
3. In the **Managing players** pane, double-click on the player or select it and click **Edit**.
4. Switch to the **Data sources** tab and click on **Add data source***.*
5. In the **Add data source** window, select a data importer from the dropdown.
6. Click **Save** to apply the selected data importer.
7. To optionally specify a filter for the data source, select it and click **Add filter**.
8. Select filter criteria as required. The available filter criteria depend on your data source and the data type.
9. Click **Save** to save your changes.
