# Log in to IXM One

To open IXM One, you must log in to your application.

> For your first login, please contact your partner or system administrator for the user name.

To log in to IXM One, perform the following steps:

1. In the login window, select your **Language** for IXM One and system notifications.
2. As **Application**, enter the application name. The application name is the customer code in customer management.
3. As **User**, enter your username.
4. As **Password**, enter your password. Note that this field is case-sensitive.
5. Click **Login** to log in.

## Open the legal notice

Depending on your system configuration, you might see a **Legal notice** button at the bottom of the login window.

Click on it, to open the privacy policy, company details, and additional information in your browser.

> Upon your first login, you must accept the data protection information for the use of IXM One.

## Reset user configurations

In the login window, you can also reset all user configurations. This process affects all list settings and selections, however, it doesn't delete any data. To reset the user configurations, perform the following steps:

1. 2. In the subsequent dialog, click **Reset** to reset all user configurations.

## Automatic timeout

If there is no user activity for 30 minutes, the connection to the Grassfish server is automatically terminated by default. In this case, you need to log in again.
