# Enable status change notification

You can set up automatic notifications that are sent when a booking item switches from [waiting list to reserved](/grassfish/docs/manage-booking-states).

This notifies the owner or sales person of the booking and, optionally, the additional sales person.

## Set up status change notifications

To set up the automatic booking state notifications, perform the following steps:

1. In IXM One, go to **Administration > DOOH > DOOH system parameters**.
2. 3. Switch to **Administration > Permissions > User**.
4. Double-click on the user of the owner/sales person.
5. Under **E-mail**, ensure that an email address is available or enter an email address. If there's no email address, the system can't send an email notification.
6. Under **Preferred language** ensure that the language is set correctly. 7. If you want to notify an additional sales person, check their email and language too.
8. Click **Save** to save your changes.
