# Enable missing media notifications

You can set up automatic notifications that are sent when a booking item starts soon but has [no media assigned](/grassfish/docs/handle-missing-media).

You can notify the owner or sales person of the affected booking and, optionally, the additional sales person.

## Set up missing media notifications

To set up the automatic missing media notifications, perform the following steps:

1. In IXM One, go to **Administration > DOOH > DOOH system parameters**.
2. Under **Notifications**, select **Notify sales person before booking item starts without media**.
3. Specify how many days before the booking item starts the notification should be sent.
4. 5. Switch to **Administration > Permissions > User**.
6. Double-click on the user of the owner/sales person.
7. Under **E-mail**, ensure that an email address is available or enter an email address. If there's no email address, the system can't send an email notification.
8. Under **Preferred language** ensure that the language is set correctly. 9. If you want to notify an additional sales person, check their email and language too.
10. Click **Save** to save your changes.
