Test the login

This article provides information on how to test the login.

Browser extension

To make testing easier, we recommend that the user who logs in installs the SAML Tracer browser extension. The extension indicates whether the login was successful and provides user data such as first and last name.

Identity provider initiation

To test, the customer should try to log in using the SAML Identity Provider application URL. For example, use Test this application in Azure.

There are two possible results:

• The login was successful, if the user is logged in to the IXM Platform and not forwarded to the default login page.

• If the login was not successful, check the SAML log files and use SAML-tracer to find out what went wrong.

Service provider initiation

To test, open the following URL: https://<IXM-Platform-URL>/gv2/webservices/SamlLogin/Login.aspx

• The login was successful, if the user is logged in to the IXM Platform and not forwarded to the default login page.

• If the login was not successful, check the SAML log files and use SAML-tracer to find out what went wrong.
