# Download player data

You can download various data from the player to monitor its content and performance.

## Download log files

To download log files from a player, perform the following steps:

1. Go to **Channels > Location**.
2. Select the player's location.
3. In the **Managing players** pane, select the player and click **Tools**.
4. In the **Choose modules** window, select one of the following options:
  - To download all log files of a module, select a module and click **Download all**.
  - To download a single log file, select a module and log file and click **Download log**.
5. Once you've downloaded all required logs, click **Close** to close the window.

## Download playlist

To download a player’s current playlist as an XML file, follow these steps.

1. Go to **Channels > Location**.
2. Select the player's location.
3. In the **Managing players** pane, select the player and click on **Tools**.
4. Select one of the following options:
  - **Download playlist for screen layout 1**
  - **Download playlist for screen layout 2**
