There are two ways to apply these settings depending on your setup: - **Multiple players**: [Assign a configuration group to multiple players](/grassfish/docs/configure-players#assign-a-configuration-group-to-a-player) to apply its settings to all of them. - **Single player**: [Create a player-specific configuration](/grassfish/docs/configure-players#assign-a-configuration-group) for an individual player. ## Assign a configuration group to multiple players To assign a configuration group to a player, perform the following steps: 1. In IXM One, go to **Channels > Location**. 2. In the **Location** pane, select the location where the player is located. 3. In the **Managing players** pane, double-click on the player or select it and click **Edit**. 4. Under **Configuration**, select a configuration group from the dropdown menu. 5. Click **Save** to save your changes. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e2b87f73-d9f5-43cb-8182-2641762664fd/Images/Documentation/configure-players-image-kqr691xx.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T19%3A45%3A41Z&se=2026-11-06T20%3A45%3A41Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=cTO63Nif6z%2FPRUT7EuF1KCTEe%2B75Drq9RHjkfRa4Clo%3D) ## Create a player-specific configuration You can create a player-specific configuration based on an existing configuration group. > [!NOTE] > Note > > - The changes apply only to the player not to the configuration group. As an admin, you can [save the settings as a new configuration group](/grassfish/docs/work-with-configuration-groups). > - A warning icon appears when the player configuration differs from the default configuration. This allows you to immediately see if a player has a custom configuration. > - If needed, you can reset the player to the standard configuration group settings. To create a player-specific configuration, perform the following steps: 1. In IXM One, go to **Channels > Location**. 2. In the **Location** pane, select the location in which the player is located. 3. Double-click on the player or select it and click **Edit**. 4. If there's no configuration group assigned to the player yet, select a configuration group from the dropdown menu **Configuration** and confirm this in the subsequent dialog. 5. Next to **Configuration**, click **Edit**. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e2b87f73-d9f5-43cb-8182-2641762664fd/Images/Documentation/configure-players-image-euzg0lo1.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T19%3A45%3A41Z&se=2026-11-06T20%3A45%3A41Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=cTO63Nif6z%2FPRUT7EuF1KCTEe%2B75Drq9RHjkfRa4Clo%3D) 6.
