# Check spot validity

By default, all spots are valid indefinitely. You can however, specify a validity period and check it in the spot properties.

To check a spot's validity, perform the following steps:

1. In IXM One, go to **Content > Playlist**.
2. In the **Spot groups** pane, select the spot group where your spot is located.
3. 4. Switch to the **Validity** tab and check the provided information. If the spot has [SOC tags](/grassfish/docs/manage-tags), the date set in the tag is displayed in the column **Visible from**.
