This may be necessary, for example, if you use your own provisioning server. There are two ways to do this: - [Change the URL via a configuration file](/grassfish/docs/change-provisioning-url#change-the-url-via-configuration-file) - [Edit the URL in the InitBox](/grassfish/docs/change-provisioning-url#edit-the-url-in-the-initbox) ## Change the URL via configuration file To change the URL, perform the following steps: 1. Use a text editor to create a file named **provisioning.conf**. 2. In the configuration file, enter the URL of your custom provisioning server. 3. Save the file. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e2b87f73-d9f5-43cb-8182-2641762664fd/Images/Documentation/image-1757941073810.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T20%3A21%3A41Z&se=2026-11-06T21%3A21%3A41Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=oLdc11gE6T%2Bj5u%2Fr59n13ihLeq3oqTFrxwv3aghoBEM%3D) ### Place the file on the player There are two ways to place the file on the player: manually or automatically. > [!NOTE] > Note > > We recommend automating the process for larger rollouts across multiple players. #### Manual installation You can manually copy the file to the required folder using a USB drive or any other file transfer method. Copy the file to the following location on the Android Player: `/sdcard/Download/GF/config/provisioning.conf` #### Automated installation You can automate the process by using Android Debug Bridge (ADB) to push the file to the correct location on the device. To do so, perform the following steps: 1. Open the script file **Install_gf_Tools_from_Android_[version]-on.bat**. 2. Add the following command to copy the file to the Android device: `adb push provisioning.conf  /sdcard/Download/GF/config/` 3. Save your changes and close the file. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e2b87f73-d9f5-43cb-8182-2641762664fd/Images/Documentation/image-1757939442641.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T20%3A21%3A41Z&se=2026-11-06T21%3A21%3A41Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=oLdc11gE6T%2Bj5u%2Fr59n13ihLeq3oqTFrxwv3aghoBEM%3D) ## Edit the URL in the InitBox You can also edit the provisioning server URL once you’ve installed and configured the Android Player. The player automatically opens the InitBox where you can do the following: 1. In the InitBox, click **EDIT** next to **Provisioning host**. 2. Enter you custom URL. 3. [Continue the initialization](https://docs.grassfish.com/docs/connect-player-and-server), to connect player and server. ![Image of the custom provisioning server URL in the dialog.](https://cdn.document360.io/e2b87f73-d9f5-43cb-8182-2641762664fd/Images/Documentation/Bild (6).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T20%3A21%3A41Z&se=2026-11-06T21%3A21%3A41Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=oLdc11gE6T%2Bj5u%2Fr59n13ihLeq3oqTFrxwv3aghoBEM%3D)
