# Assign selected categories

IXM One admin users can [create selectable categories](/grassfish/docs/manage-categories) for other users to assign to local players on an individual basis, for example for a specific promotion in a store.

To assign selected categories, perform the following steps:

1. Go to **Content > Playlist**.
2. In the **Screen playlists** pane, select a player or playlist.
3. Under **Selected categories**, select the categories that you want to assign.

The player now only plays spots and playlists that match these categories.
