# Assign media tags

You can assign tags to media to control which content can be used in which playlists.

- You can assign as many tags as you like.
- Only admins can create the tags that other users assign.

To assign tags to media, perform the following steps:

1. In IXM One, go to **Content > Media management**.
2. In the **Media groups** pane, select the spot group where your media is located.
3. Alternatively, select the media and click **Edit > Edit properties**.
4. In the **Edit media properties** window, switch to the **Tags** tab.
5. Drag and drop tags you want to assign from **Available** to **Assigned**. 6. Click **Save** to save your changes.
