# Assign media tags

You can assign tags to media to control which content can be used in which playlists. You can assign as many tags as you like.

To assign tags to media, perform the following steps:

1. In IXM One, go to **Content > Media management**.
2. In the **Media groups** pane, select the spot group where your media is located.
3. Alternatively, select the media and click **Edit > Edit properties**.
4. In the **Edit media properties** window, switch to the **Tags** tab.
5. 6. Click **Save** to save your changes.
