# Archive and activate groups

> Archiving must be enabled in your system by an admin.

You can archive spot and media groups which helps keep an overview of your content while reducing loading times.

## Archive a group

To archive a group, perform the following steps:

1. Go to **Content > Playlist** or **Media management**.
2. 3. Select **Display archived spots/media**.
4. Select the group that you want to archive.
5. 6. In the subsequent dialog, confirm your action.

> 
> When you archive a group, its subordinate groups are archived as well.

## Activate a group

To activate an archived group, perform the following steps:

1. Go to **Content > Playlist** or **Media management**.
2. 3. Select **Display archived spots/media**.
4. Select the group that you want to activate.
5.
